Didn't realize charges had been filed. What court?

110 in the shade, a tent to sleep in and a balogna sandwich!

I've long since reached the conclusion that the Feathered Fellow's jail facilities are gross human rights violations, but I could be tempted to make an exception.

They are human rights violations. Government thugs are not human in my book.

UK Daily Mail: Female trooper who performed roadside body cavity searches on two women wearing same glove indicted on two counts of sexual assault and official oppression
    • Trooper Kelley Helleson lost her job after probing the private parts of two female motorists
    • Colleague David Farrell has been suspended with pay after requesting the invasive cavity probe because the women were 'acting weird'
    • It is unclear whether he too will be terminated
    • Angel Dobbs, 38, and niece Ashley Dobbs, 24, are suing after the 'molestation' on State Highway 161 near Irving, Texas

They settled for a paltry $185K, or $46,250/orifice.

KRIS TV: 2 Women Settle Lawsuit In Irving Roadside Search (June 26 2013)

Two Dallas-area women subjected to body cavity searches along a highway have settled their lawsuit against the Texas Department of Public Safety . The Dallas Morning News reports the agreement was finalized Tuesday. DPS didn't immediately comment Wednesday on the $185,000 settlement in the federal civil rights lawsuit.

So is that the end or did Texas DPS just hang the former troopers out to dry?

They both have criminal cases pending.

People have gotten less for being shot. This is not a trivial amount, although multi-millions would have been better. One never knows what would have come out at trial-perhaps dirty laundry the victims weren't keen on airing. pardon the expression in this context.

Still the point has been made with an exclamation point. Now, on for criminal convictions for the perpette molester and the light-fingered male jerk colleague

Money's nice, but for once we have perps who may actually see some justice. I don't think wayward officers care if their municipalities have to pay through the nose on their behalf, but I bet they don't like going to prison. Please, please, please let these two end up in prison.

    It's time.

If she ends up in jail she will be on the receiving end of physical searches.

Perhaps. However, the searched performed on her will likely follow the standard (read: legal) protocol for such searches, very unlike the ones she has performed in the past.

By the prison staff. Her fellow prisoners will conduct a more intimate "search"...

Texas state trooper who probed women’s genitals during traffic stop pleads guilty to criminal charges

Fired last year from Texas Department of Public Safety, Kelley Helleson pleads guilty Friday and gets two years of probation. She was caught on dash cam using same set of gloves to search rectums and vaginas of two women.

A fired Texas state trooper — who made national headlines after a dash cam video went viral showing her conducting genital probes during a routine traffic stop - pleaded guilty to criminal charges on Friday.

Kelly Helleson, 34, admitted to two counts of official repression in exchange for prosecutors dropping sexual assault charges against her. She was sentenced Friday to two years of probation.

    Her excuse:

Helleson apologized in court, saying she was only doing what she was trained to do.

The bad news: The other trooper, who summoned her to the scene to perform the search, is back on the job ...

Farrell was suspended, but not indicted over the invasive searches. Farrell is back on active duty, the Texas Department of Public Safety told the Daily News in an email. He had been accused of theft over a bottle of prescription pain pills reported missing from the women's vehicle, but a grand jury declined to indict him. He was returned to full duty last September.
