    Harvey cop charged with buying stolen iPod, tools

    A long-time Harvey police officer has been arrested and accused of buying a stolen iPod, power tools and other items after a two-year investigation involving federal and state law enforcement, authorities said. Lemuel Askew, 57, turned himself in Wednesday on the felony theft charge and posted bond. He was immediately suspended from Harvey’s police department, a Harvey spokesman said.​
