I wonder how patient he'd be about the Rush to Judgement(TM) if it was the one-armed one-legged man who shot the cop? Hmmmm....

what are the odds that he would have been summarily despatched?

btw, are the Houston motorcycle cops planning to ride in procession to Mr. Claunch's funeral?

And with this forum & a couple blogs, I'm hoping we can do our very small part to help get the word out by building a critical mass of info that will come back and bite them. Every little bit that we can accumulate & index helps. People like that Houston police chief are living in the past.

  4. It doesn't even sound like these cops rush to judgement, though. It sounds like reflex action when they fear an unusual situation. Uh oh... crazy ranting man in wheelchair... won't listen to reason... uh oh, what's that in his hand? Metal thing, uh oh, scary, shoot gun! The same thing with a dog bounding down the driveway to warn them, or even just greet them. Uh oh, dog, dog bite hurts, ouch, scary, shoot gun! I don't know that there's any civilized way to solve this when the police departments are full of cowards.

yes, but these situations are encouraged, as everyone has noted, by, let's all say it together, "Immunity". If there's a real heavy, commensurately heavy, penalty for shooting someone unnecessarily, these incidents would slow to a trickle.

But no addresses or phone numbers, eh?

I had a much lengthier response written, but since it's all been explained before, I decided the repetition isn't necessary. At the end of the day, I -- and I alone -- will determine what the limitations are in these forums. I am the only one who pays the bills here.

With regarding to compiling the info mentioned upthread, addresses and phone numbers are irrelevant. What's important is that eventually when someone Googles their local PD, they find out who all the thumpers are. If they Google a thumper in today's news, they should be able quickly to find out about his prior misdeeds. Home addresses and phone numbers don't figure into that.

Every time something like this is proposed, cops threaten to quit and leave use helpless for the scum to attack.

Since they're not much help when the scum DO attack...

According to Monday's Cato feed, Brian Claunch is the 3rd unarmed person the Houston PD has shot in less than 3 months.

A grand jury return a no bill:

No charges against HPD officer who killed double amputee in a wheelchair

Apparently it's A-OK to kill unarmed double amputees in Houston. Come on in, and gun 'em down! It's almost as much fun as shooting Guatemalans from helicopter.

This is Houston pig Matthew Marin's 2nd killing & 3rd major incident in a three-year span:
    • "Controversial 2008 case of an alleged assault of the father of Green Bay Packer Donald Driver"
    • Oct., 2009, killed someone
    • Sept., 2012, slaughtered Brian Claunch in a wheelchair
    Who's next?

Why couldn't I have gotten on THAT jury?

    Oh, wait, I know...
