    Ex-Minnesota sheriff's deputy sentenced to 33 years for sexually abusing boys on fishing trip

    A former Mille Lacs County sheriff's deputy has been sentenced to 33 years in prison for sexually abusing several boys on a fishing trip. Aaron Heuer (hire) was sentenced Thursday in Otter Tail County. Under a plea deal, Heuer admitted he inappropriately touched four boys, ages 8 to 10, while volunteering as a fishing guide at Lutheran Island Camp near Henning last summer.​
