  1. Here are the 8 reports of police misconduct tracked for Tuesday, April 15, 2014:

    • Tuckerton, New Jersey: A police corporal (Corporal Justin Cherry) surrendered on charges of misconduct and aggravated assault during a police stop. He allegedly allowed his K9 [Gunner] to “unjustifiably” attack and bite a woman. He is also accused of falsifying his police reports to hide the incident and justify his actions.
    • Glenview, Illinois: After their sworn testimony, a lawyer played a police video that contradicted what five officers, three from Chicago [Sergeant James Padar, Officer Vince Morgan, Officer William Pruente] and two from Glenview [Officer Jim Horn, Sergeant Theresa Urbanowski], had said, a furious judge found [defendant: Joseph Sperling].
    • Update: Woodland Park, New Jersey (First reported 10-02-13): Relatives of a 12-year-old girl who was propositioned by a police officer [Officer Steven Vigorito Jr.] filed a lawsuit against the department alleging the officer was not properly supervised,
    • Indianapolis, Indiana: An officer [Officer David Reece]was arrested and preliminarily charged with two counts of battery and one count of residential entry.
    • Update: Rensselaer, New York (First reported 03-21-13): A now-former police officer [Officer Mark Fusco]was sentenced to three to nine years in prison. His speeding car slammed into a tree, killing his passenger [Sean M. Murphy], while he was drunk.

    • Wichita, Kansas: Woman who filed suit claims her son [Troy Lanning II] was complying with police officer’s [Officer Randy Williamson] order to stop and turn around, raising his hands into the air, when the officer shot at him five or six times, then shot him three more times in the back as he lay on the ground.
    • Update: Anchorage, Alaska (First reported 11-27-13): A now-former police officer [Officer Mark Moeller]was sentenced for using police resources to share private information with a woman he’d arrested and then started seeing casually. The judge suspended a two-year jail term for the felony, as well as a 90-day sentence for the misdemeanor. The officer will be on probation for 2 years.
    • Timberlake, Ohio: The police chief [Chief David Phillips] and another officer [Officer Ann Murray] have been jailed. A grand jury found the pair stole property or services valued at $7500.00 or more, and used their status as public officials to “aid in committing the offense.”
