    Abilene police chief to hold news conference 'concerning this investigation' Friday

    Stephanie Renee Fenner, 26, of Hawley is charged with shooting at two people in the pickup, including one who was in a “dating relationship with Fenner,” an Abilene Police Department news release said Thursday.​

    Update: Arrested Jones County Deputy Has Past of Heavy Drinking, Violent Behavior

    A termination letter from Taylor County dated April 11 of 2011 indicated that Fenner was dismissed from the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department for an event that occurred on March 28 of the same year. The letter alleges that Fenner had become heavily intoxicated while staying at an unspecified hotel, and at some point during her stay on March 28, she got into an argument with another deputy. According to the document, hotel security was called to the room twice due to noise complaints. Eventually, Fenner pulled two loaded pistols out and pointed them at the other deputy. It was this behavior that resulted in her termination on April 11, 2011.    ​
