  1. Here are the 11 reports of police misconduct tracked for Wednesday, April 16, 2014:

    • Ottawa County, Michigan: A woman [Leah Allyn Norton] who says an sheriff’s deputy [Deputy Heather Stille] used excessive force while breaking her arm and dislocating her shoulder will share her story with a U.S. District Court.
    • Salt Lake City, Utah: A now-former police officer [Officer Stephen Hall] pled guilty to a felony and a misdemeanor in a plea deal on charges he faked DUI reports and collected thousands of dollars of overtime illegally.
    • Long Beach, California: The families of two men [John Del Real, Tyler Woods]shot dead by officers took legal action against the city and the police department, claiming the officers involved used excessive force.
    • Hidalgo County, Texas: A police chief sheriff [Sheriff Guadalupe “Lupe” Treviño] pled guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering involving a campaign contribution from a suspected drug trafficker.
    • Monroe County, Tennessee: A deputy [Deputy Jacob Tyler Summers] has been accused of beating his girlfriend. The girlfriend told authorities he punched her several times when he was drunk.
    • Kronenwetter, Marathon County, Wisconsin: A police officer [Officer Jason M. Rasmussen] has been arrested on charges of soliciting a prostitute and encouraging probation violations.
    • Glendale, Queens, New York City, New York: An off-duty police officer [Officer Felix Deleon] was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after he allegedly rear-ended another vehicle.
    • Beaufort County, South Carolina: A woman [Jessie Brinsfield] has filed suit. She claims that a police officer [Deputy Joseph Dickman] made a reckless u-turn and caused an accident. A response denies the officer was negligent and states he was turning around in the road to assist another deputy.
    • Dinwiddie, Virginia: An officer [Deputy Darryl Hayes] was charged with rape, incest and sodomy. “The defense will play up the fact that he was a deputy and served the public but it’s a two-edged sword because prosecutors will say he violated the public’s trust,” said a legal expert.
    • Guy, Arkansas: A police officer [Officer Josh Daniel George ] has been fired after he was arrested on a charge of sexual solicitation of a child.
    • North Mankato, Minnesota: A police detective [Officer Jeremy Swenson] has been accused of stealing OxyContin and charged with four felony drug counts.
